And now it is looking like a building – and what a building indeed! You can see the steel frame of all 4 stories as you travel up and down Albert St. The building has a commanding view of the downtown high-rises, of the new stadium, and of North Central. When the 12-foot illuminated cross is installed on the east side of the building it will be seen from all around. If you haven’t driven by please do so and see what your support is providing!
We are thankful that you are on this journey with us and in the end we are able to present our donors (The Good Samaritans) with a new inn – a revolutionary building that will reduce our operating and maintenance costs by 70% so more money goes to the programs supporting our guests. Already as we have been tracking the number of people using our soup kitchen over this last year we have seen a large increase. We expect that number to grow as we relocate back into North Central. It really speaks to the need that is ever present in our City and so the timing of this new building is the Christmas present that all of the marginalised, poor, and hurting individuals can have.
Please continue to give to The Samaritan Project as we still need to pay for the furniture and furnishings that are going into this new building. The estimated costs of those items are $500,000 and so helping us get to our online goal of $250,000 would make such a huge difference! Thank you for your prayers and your financial support. We couldn’t be doing this without you believing in the work that we are doing each and everyday.
